The Sky Is Pink is a young adult story based on a girl living on the streets and her hardships on finding a place to live and a family that will love and care for her. The film is based on the novella titled Sky Is Pink by author Lauren Myracle. The movie follows the story of Maddy (Juno Temple), who is a 16-year-old girl living on the streets. She is pregnant and has a daughter but no-one knows about her. Her friend Sadie convinces her to enter a shelter and she finds a home at the YMCA. It is a lovely film where you can identify with the characters. They are all underdogs and are trying to find a path to a better life.The movie received rave reviews and a 7.6 rating on the IMDb.
